A Well Balanced Lunch

In my last post, Teach Your Children About Balanced Eating, I shared a "Well Balanced Report Card," that I created.
I try to balance my kid's meals, but in order for them learn to be good eaters, they need to understand these choices in order to learn how to balance their meals themselves.
The report card is my way of helping them to learn this concept.
This morning, before my daughter left for school, I showed her the report card and we looked at her lunch together to determine how the foods fit into the various categories:
Vegetables: Salad (we ran out of time and couldn't list the individual veggies)
Protein: Salmon (to add to her salad), Cheese
Whole Grains: Tortilla "snowflakes" (idea from Toys in the Dryer) with cinnamon and coconut sugar.
My daughter was really excited about doing this and was excited to see that she could put something in each category (except "treats") for her lunch.
