Help them to become more comfortable around a variety of foods.
Give them a sense of pride in what they've made.
Make food and eating about fun and togetherness instead of something that is the source of conflict or fear.
Cook with your kids.
Even if they make a mess.
Even if it doesn't turn out perfectly.

Hi There. What a fun linky party! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteThis week I’m sharing roasted fingerling carrots (fresh from the garden). My kids love raw carrots, but these garden fresh carrots are just awesome. Extremely sweet! So much fun gardening with kids. :-)

DeleteThanks so much for sharing about my linky!! Getting kids in the kitchen is so important and a wonderful experience :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome-- I always cooked with my oldest when she was young but then I got overwhelmed with more kids and just wanted to get the cooking done quickly and with as little mess as possible. I recently started cooking with all of my kids and realized just how important it is for all of them!
DeleteThis way i will also help my kid to try new food.
ReplyDeleteThat's great! You have some interesting recipes on your site- definitely some things I've never tried before!
DeleteThanks for stopping by and inviting us to link up!
