My daughter has actually been asking to try starfruit for a while. She's seen it in the grocery store, but I've been hesitant to buy it because they typically look like they've been sitting there for a while.
The other day, they must have (finally) gotten a new shipment and they looked fairly fresh, so I bought one, sliced it up and put it in my daughter's lunch as a surprise.
Here's her review: "It was really good. It was so sweet. There were some black parts on the edges that I had to cut off."
No one else got to try it because the boys were sick, and since she requested, I just gave it all to her. I didn't even try any myself. I had it once or twice a long time ago, but I remember it as being sour...
Now it's your turn. Have your or your children tried something new this week? Link up and tell us how it went!!
Be sure to click on the other links as well. Maybe you or your children will get some inpsiration for something else they'd like to try!

My family lived in Nicaragua for a few years, and we ate a lot of starfruit! It is very sweet, and such a pretty shape!
ReplyDeleteMmmm... I bet they're even better when they are fresh!
