The picture doesn't look like much, but these turkey burgers (which can also be made with ground chicken) are really good.
We hadn't had them for a while and then made them again a few weeks ago and I was, yet again, amazed by how good they taste.
Simply the Best Bunless Turkey or Chicken Burgers
1 lb ground chicken or turkey
1/4 cup shredded zucchini (or up to 1/2 cup if your family likes zucchini!)
1-2 T Worcestershire Sauce (We use Lea and Perrins because it doesn't have High Fructose Corn Syrup)
2 T ketchup (Simply Heinz, Heinz organic or other ketchup without High Fructose Corn Syrup)
1 cup homemade whole wheat breadcrumbs (toast and grind ends of whole wheat bread) *This also works with gluten-free bread
Mix all ingredients.
Form into small patties.
Bake on baking sheet at 375 for @ 30 minutes
*If desired, melt some cheese on top. No buns needed. Serve with sweet potato fries and a salad.
These sound really good, I'm going to have to give them a try soon.
ReplyDeleteThey are really good... better than they look- Don't leave out the zucchini though- my husband made them this week and forgot to add the zucchini- It really helps to make them moist!
